Dear Fellow Walkers

Today is a very powerful and auspicious day, as Mercury goes retrograde and it is the first day of Imbolc. Both energies will have a profound affect on us, as our actions, thoughts and intentions are being manifested very quickly now. For those who have chosen to honour and respect ourselves, others and Mother Earth this will be a joyous time. Spread your good news, your joy and your gratitude out into the world so that others can see that there is another way.

Mercury retrogrades three to four times a year and in 2009 it is four times. The first one started on January 14th and finally ends today, though there may be a few little storms as Mercury finds its flow again. Mercury rules communication so often things get misinterpreted during this period. Mercury retrograde also gives us the opportunity to re-evaluate, reflect and reconsider certain actions. It is not a good idea to sign any important contracts or agreements during this time as things can look very different once Mercury goes forward again.

So with Mercury moving forward we will start seeing all the things we put in to place in the last few weeks being actioned in the physical. Despite the cold weather this is officially the start of spring when the first buds begin to appear and the days are getting longer. Imbolc brings with it renewed energy as we begin to shake off the winter slumber and feel the pace of things begin to quicken. From this moment on we begin to see the emergence of Spring and with it hope and rebirth. So use this time wisely and prepare your soil carefully. Whatever foundations you have laid, now is the time to start building on them and see how strong they really are.

This is an auspicious time for me. Since May 2006 I have lived, slept and dreamed hemp and despite all the odds and the enormity of the task we have walked this path step by step and trusted. Everything we needed came at the right time to help us flow forward. We have been on a very steep learning curve preparing the foundations. One of my biggest challenges was learning to work in a team rather than on my own, which I am so much more comfortable with.

I am building up this hemp business with my lover Carlo, put everything into it and it has taken me to the point of surrender. And I find this scary and exhilarating. Scary because I am no longer in control and exhilarating because I am no longer in control and faith, trust and hope are my new companions!! I am learning not to judge anything I see because it is all changing so quickly, like sand after a tsunami…. Nothing is ever the same again, and so it is after this financial tsunami.
