Plant New Seeds

Everything certainly feels a bit wonky at the moment, even in the cosmos.

Mercury is now going forward, but we are coming to the second Cancer new moon, an extremely rare occurrence, and an auspicious time to re-utilise the energy of the Cancer moon to get back on track.

This second Cancer new moon is the first new moon since the eclipse portal has ended, so this is the time for planting new seeds, moving in a new direction, or contemplating on the direction you are already going in. The more our intentions and desires are firm and clear, the quicker we can see them manifest.

Use this very rare second Cancer new moon to inspire you to follow your dreams and take that leap into the unknown. Just like the crab that can live both on land and in water, find the flexibility to go beyond your comfort zone to explore life a bit more.

The Cancer new moon forces us to acknowledge our own inner resources, by showing us where we need to let go of other people and find our own way. When we hang on too tightly to others, and try to control them, the more emotionally difficult this Moon will be.

You may therefore find this Moon brings to the surface hidden disappointments, frustrations, and sadness within a relationship that have been buried deep within. Try and be an observer of your emotions and moods, rather than get pulled deep into Cancer’s watery depths and become the martyr or victim.

Forgiveness and self-reliance are important qualities needed to surf this coming energetic wave. We are all going through emotional turmoil, and when we stop blaming others for our own discomfort, we avoid potentially destructive conflicts and arguments. Instead, recognise where your needs are not being met, and what you need in order to nourish and support yourself.

The Cancer new moon also reminds us to be more like the crab, the symbol that represents Cancer. Most crabs are very sociable and travel in packs, reminding us to turn to family and friends for help and support. A crab also has a hard shell, but a soft underbelly, reminding us to accept our vulnerability, and ask for help, rather than hiding ourselves under a hard armour.

The crab also shows us that we must trust life/god/etc, even when it feels we are going sideways, rather than forwards. If your goals are clear and your intentions have been set we must surrender to the natural flow of life. Allow yourself to be effortlessly guided to your destination, even if you feel you are going in the wrong direction.

The key to this moon is to tune out the negative critic and tune into your intuition, regardless of what seems to be happening. We will be seeing a lot of changes over the coming months and the more we listen and follow our intuition, ignite our creativity, and remain positive, focused, disciplined and motivated to do what inspires us, the more empowered and hopeful we will feel.
