Stay Hopeful, Inspired and Positive in 2020!

We have reached the new cycle and new decade, and just as these flowers above are able to bloom in the winter time, I am feeling really excited, happy and hopeful for 2020 and this coming decade despite what a mess we are in!

When we turn our perspective externally, the world is looking very dark and unstable! There are huge environmental and ecological challenges ahead that seem almost impossible to surmount.

When we turn our perspective internally, we are back in control of our own world. We can see the blessings in the burdens and focus on the positive side of life. We can affect change on a community level, which automatically makes us feel calmer, inspired and more hopeful.

This perspective enables us to see beyond the doom and gloom to a new more empowering vision; we are the problem, and also the solution.

Here are my 8 reasons for staying hopeful, inspired and positive in 2020

Inner Work
For those who have done the inner work this is your time to shine! We have been actively working on our shadows and aligning our hearts and egos to really be able to surf this coming cycle! When we know who we are and what our purpose is we can focus our energies to manifest what we desire and be the change we want to see in the world.

Level Playing Field
We have the power to be heard.
Now, everyone has a voice, and can be heard on many platforms. If you are fearless, courageous and passionate your message can reach a lot of people very quickly.

#Me Too
We have the power to start movements.
The #Me Too campaign was the first time that women collectively had a global voice and a space to be heard, acknowledged and received. It empowered women to tell their stories, and begin healing the wounds of patriarchy.

Personal Freedom
We have the power to speak our truth.
This is the first time in history that we have freedom to speak our truth without fear of being burned at the stake, stoned or executed. If we don’t like what is happening we have the freedom to speak about it and the power to do something about it.

Social Freedom
We have the power to be who we want.
With the collapse of the church’s power we are no longer bound by the strict social norms of control. We are completely free to be whoever we want to be. We can follow our own desires and choose our sexual orientation, our dress, our work, our education. We are free to express ourselves in whatever way we choose.

Economic Freedom
We have the power to be financially independent.
I know we are under a corrupt financial system but on the other hand, I no longer have to rely on a husband to look after me! I have my own business, bank account, and I’m economically independent from anyone! We can make our own way in the world without needing to rely on rich parentage or ancestry.

Purchasing Freedoms
We have the power to choose who we buy from.
We have the choice to buy from companies that are ethical and green, and stop using our purchasing powers on businesses that are not aligned to our values and principles.

Ecological Freedom
We have the power to live lightly on the Planet.
We can’t change the bigger picture but we do have the freedom to choose if we want to reduce our consumption and footprint on the earth and make a difference in our personal worlds, (which automatically makes us feel better).
