Pluto/Uranus Squares 2012-2015 have been assisting us to change since the 1930’s, because the cosmos and planets are shaking us out of our slumber so that we can face the huge challenges that our collective actions have created.
It is going to take a conscious evolutionary shift to break us out of the status quo we are stuck in, and for the last three years, from 2012-15, there have been seven “exact” Pluto/Uranus squares, when the two celestial bodies are at the same degree, to help us.
1. June 6-July 9, 2012
2. September 18-October 1, 2012
3. May 15-Jun 1, 2013
4. Apex Point October 17-November 15, 2013
5. April 12-29, 2014
6. November 26-December 27, 2014
7. March 17-28, 2015
These seven planetary alignments have been an important process for both our awareness and our consciousness, as the hidden darkness of our collective comes to the surface to be purged, so that we can mature as a species.
A square is when planets confront and challenge each other, triggering tension between motivation and resistance, and creating tangible change on a physical level. They highlight the challenges and difficulties of life and energise us into action. The final Pluto/Uranus square is on March 17th and the effects will reverberate for a while.
Pluto is synonymous with the underworld, and what’s hidden beneath the surface. It understands and acknowledges the complex nature of humanity, especially the shadow sides, and uses it to manipulate and control.
Pluto shows us the obsessive shadow side of our humanity, and ignites the ruthless, ambitious, paranoid part of our nature, and our need to survive, whatever the costs. It represents our collective unconscious and the need to protect ourselves from any perceived danger, by maintaining our authority and control, despite the negative impact this may bring.
Pluto brings up whatever is suppressed from our unconscious so that we can release it and thus, grow from the experience. This final Pluto/Uranus square will dislodge any deep hidden suppression that has been bubbling in the unconscious so that we can face our personal and collective darkness.
Pluto is transiting through Capricorn, exposing the fault lines in our financial systems, the corrupt power of big corporations and the way multi-nationals relate to community and the environment.
Uranus is synonymous with revolution, inventions and new ideas, but without an ethical and emotional perspective. It is rebellious, undemocratic and forges forward regardless of the consequences.
Uranus challenges the status quo, and tradition, and is not afraid of disobedience, breaking the rules or crossing boundaries in order to create a new future. This planet represents immense social and political change, as the emotional perspective is overwritten by the desire to stand up against authority.
Uranus is transiting through Aries until 2019 sparking radical change as people seek new ways of doing things. New inventions, technologies and ideas can revolutionise our lives, and yet if we are too stuck in the ego, these technologies will only serve the individual rather than the collective, creating more separation on the planet.
The squaring of these two planets have bought to the surface what is hidden in our collective unconscious. Over the last three years we have seen the rise in the terrorist group IS, the sex scandal in the Catholic Church, natural disasters, and pedophilia in all areas of leadership.
We can no longer ignore the truth of our reality, climate change, corrupt leadership, religious extremism, economic meltdown of our financial systems, and the rise in mental illness and disease.
We need to face what we are suppressing deep inside in order to change the status quo and release whatever is not serving us. This can be a painful process, as it means letting go of the corrupt structures, systems, dreams, visions, and what we thought defined us, and heading into the unknown where nothing is secure or safe.
This squaring is therefore, shaking us up personally and collectively, and we may well see an increase in civil disobedience, revolution and rebellion, with the potential of martial law if things get out of hand.
Fortunately, Pluto reminds us that we are part of the natural cycles of nature and that every living thing on this planet takes birth, grows and decays. The more we can remember this, the easier it will be to surrender and let go of whatever needs to die.
It will also help to see that whatever is breaking down, it’s because something new has to emerge. Just like the caterpillar becomes the butterfly, we also need to go through the crisis in order to transform into a healthier more harmonious species.
Use this Pluto/Uranus square to purge yourself of anything that is holding you back and stopping you from moving forward. Use the transformative, rebellious energy to give you the courage to stand up for what you believe in, and find the inner strength to create a world that you want to live in.
If each one of us takes personal responsibility for our own individual actions, and make the changes we know we must make, the world would change in an instant. We are the ones we have been waiting for and each one of us has an important part to play in this unfolding planetary story.
