Cacao is a powerful plant medicine that has been used ceremonially for thousands of years across Central and South America. Far from just the delicious sweet substance that we know it as today the ancient people of Mesamerica considered chocolate to be a gift from the gods; a specialty food that achieved a sacred status. This sacred plant was used ceremonially to connect the people to their gods, to mark milestones for important life events, and as a healing beverage.
I was called to work with Cacao through Ayahuasca, while traveling through Mexico, who told me to find the Cacao Shaman and bring this sacred medicine back to the West. I found it in Guatemala with the infamous Cacao Shaman ‘Keith.’ Leaving my possessions behind I packed my bag full of Cacao and returned back to London.
Cacao is a heart-opening medicine, dissolving emotional blockages, releasing negative and destructive feelings and bringing clarity and calm. This medicine reminds us of who we really are and helps us get back on track by enabling us to reconnect to our inner guidance and wisdom. Safe and legal she is making herself known in her ancient and most powerful form to connect us back to our hearts and empower us to be our true selves.
