“We can begin the restructuring of thought by declaring legitimate what we have denied for so long. Lets us declare Nature to be legitimate. The notion of illegal plants is obnoxious and ridiculous in the first place.” – Terence McKenna
Shaman in the traditional sense is one who acts as an intermediary between the natural worlds and the super natural worlds. Since my apprenticeship with Ayahuasca eighteen years ago, and my subsequent journey with various plant medicines, I have experienced that the plants and indeed the planet around us has an independent consciousness and intelligence and one of my roles is to act as a messenger between their world and ours. Which in reality is not separate from us, only our perception of it is.
The plants are desperate for us to ‘wake up‘ as our disconnection from them and the natural earth is, I believe, one of the main causes of our suffering, dis-ease and the systematic destruction to our planet that we share with the plants and animals that also depend on a healthy eco system to thrive.
I work specifically with three feminine plant medicines – Ayahuasca, the Grandmother, Cannabis, the mother and Cacao, the maiden representing the three faces of the goddess. However, there are countless species of plants to connect with each bearing their own healing and medicine.
My aim is to empower you to come into your own connection with our beautiful planet around us, reconnect to nature and the plants and live more shamanic ally and in harmony with the natural world around us.
In these pages is a selection of my writings about my relationship, the wisdom and the insights I have received thanks to these beautiful medicines.
