The Libra Full moon eclipse – Weds 23rd March
While, the Pisces new moon total solar eclipse reminded us that we are part of the whole and belong to a global family, this Libra full moon eclipse illuminates the potential conflict between following our dreams and intentions, and balancing our relationship with each other, and our environment.

“Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them – Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the air.
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – Family, Health, Friends and Spirit– are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it.
Work efficiently during office hours and leave on time. Give the required time to your family, friends and have proper rest. Value has a value only if its value is valued.” Bryan Dyson, Former CEO of Coca Cola
During this moon hidden and unconscious issues come to the surface, potentially causing emotional wobbles, as we balance on the balloon. Recognise that these issues are enabling us to change things, or let go of relationships and behaviours that are no longer serving us.
However, despite this being a possible time of turbulence, it can also be a social and friendly time, when compromise and cooperation are easier to achieve. This is especially influenced by the Spring Equinox being so close to the full moon.
Here are my 7 top tips to successfully surfing this full moon wave!
This Libra moon is inspiring us to be sociable and outgoing, connecting with others and sharing dreams and visions. It widens our perspective to the greater good of humanity and the world, rather than working solely for our financial and material gain. There is a feeling of unity over a Libran Moon, as everyone is eager to share what is in their hearts.
Catch up with friends, and get to know new friends and acquaintances better. You may also find very old friends from the past turning up out of the blue, and new deep friendships are forged.
Whatever clarity emerged during the Pisces new moon, now is the time to take action, spurred on by this lunar eclipse. The Libran full moon illuminates the dichotomy of remaining in our power, without upsetting the harmony and balance of our relationships. It reminds us to be aware of our actions towards others, as we learn to stay strong and committed to ourselves.
Libra can be a hard teacher, but this is a perfect time to deal with the subtle issues that have been brewing within us, and with those around us. By bringing them out into the light, they can be resolved so that we can be focused and prepared for the abundant growth of Summer.
However, be careful not to become the martyr during these two weeks. Martyrdom rarely brings the results we desire and can create more problems than solutions. If things are not working for you, change you! it will be much easier than trying to change others by forcing them to see your point of view.
Follow your Heart
This is a time when we can easily be seduced into ignoring our intuition to receive approval from others. If conflict arises during this moon phase remain true to yourself by using cooperation and harmony, rather than control and anger. The challenge will be seeing both sides of the situation, weighing up the options, and keeping an inner balance by remaining in integrity with who you are.
Represented by the scales, Libra brings our attention back to what is fair and just, both in our private lives and for the greater whole. Under this moon we can feel the injustices that are happening on our planet, or in our work place or home, more deeply. This is so we stop burying our heads in the sand and have the courage to do something about it.
A Libra full moon reminds us to find the balance between work and play, and ensure that you are finding time to enjoy life. If you are working too hard with no end in sight and feeling exhausted, take some time out to stop and rest.
Humans need time out to contemplate and integrate life to stay mentally healthy. If you really cannot find the time to rest or stop working, go to a yoga, gongbath, mindfulness or meditation class, swim, jog or do some other exercise that gets you out of your mind and back into your body for a few hours a week.
When we are fully aware of who we are, everything in our lives becomes aligned with our purpose and passion. Be receptive to the moon’s energies to know when to give and take in order to restore balance in relationships or partnerships. By shifting the focus from `me` to `we,` we can transmute and transform conflict, and instead channel this energy into more positive, compassionate action.
I will end this Lunascope with the wise words from Dr Seuss:
“You’ll get mixed up, of course,as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.”
