HGS is my philanthropic, ethical and sustainable company.  Our aim is to reinstate hemp as the number one crop on the planet and re-educate, lobby and promote the importance of this plant so that we can create a sustainable future for our children.

Our approach is to foster and promote efficient, carbon neutral, sustainable supply chains that are beneficial to both the environment and local communities, while generating income streams and business models with a fair share of revenue for all stakeholders. 

Hemp is one of the most versatile, prolific and synergistic tools available to tackle the key challenges of our times.  It has an overall positive impact on the environment, needing no pesticides and relatively low fertiliser.  It improves soil structure and nutrient levels, thus boosting soil health and creating greater yields in follow on corps in the rotation cycle. 

Hemp is also part of the solution to the greater threats of climate change, soil health and erosion, water consumption, deforestation, nutrition, bio-fuels, agricultural land for biofuels, and is a sustainable source of raw materials for construction and other industries. We view these challenges as market opportunities, giving hemp an enormous potential to generate revenue and income streams for individuals, communities, businesses and industries both in developed and developing countries. 

This year we are growing eleven hectares of hemp for seed with four farmers in Lincolnshire.  The hemp seed is a highly nutricious and versatile food that has been in our diet since the beginning of our evolution.  We are using the seed for our first hemp product a delicious instant hemp and oat porridge.
