Aries New Moon – Thursday 7th April.
Here in the Northern Hemisphere we are in what I call, the pregnant pause, when nature is preparing to burst into full flower, but the buds are yet to open fully on the trees. It feels as if nature is still waiting for that moment when it is sure Spring is fully here, and safe to flower without being killed by the frost.
Likewise, many of us are now ready to really spring forward with our projects and ideas, but last month’s eclipses may have wobbled us, as it felt like we were balancing on a ballon.
With Uranus spurring us on to be true to ourselves, this fiery Aries new moon on Thursday 7th April will help us ram through any fear and hesitation, so that we can make those vital decisions and see our projects manifest, just like the leaves and flowers that are also preparing to open up and share their fragrances with the world.
Here are my 7 top tips to successfully surfing this Aries new moon wave!
Ram through the FEAR
Symbolised by the Ram, an Aries moon brings us another opportunity to ram through the fear and just do it! Aries gives us the courage to respond quickly and decisively. It is one of the most spontaneous signs of the zodiac and so follow your heart if the door is opening, this is the time to go through it.
However, make sure you do as much due diligence as you can, and are fully prepared. There is a fine line between following your truth and jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. We have been learning how to listen to our intuition over the years, and this moon it is important to hear it in order to do the right thing.
We can often feel a stronger than usual pull to be a part of something empowering during an Aries moon. If you have been feeling low and depressed, especially if the March eclipses wobbled your foundations, find a cause, charity, project, or do something creative that inspires you so that you feel part of something and you are serving in some way. When we get involved and serve others we no longer feel so helpless or powerless.
Beware Narcissistic Tendencies
However, an Aries moon can bring out latent narcissistic tendencies, especially if there is a need to be proven right, or too know better than others. There is a difference between participating and ‘butting in,’ and taking over. A do-gooder that wants to come in and change things to their way of thinking can cause more harm than good.
Tread diplomatically this moon cycle, especially in delicate situations of power. If someone is displaying excessive narcissistic tendencies don’t take it personally, just blame it on the moon and it will pass. Be shrewd and find the inner balance and harmony gained from the Libra full moon to recognise the reality of a situation and avert igniting a drama.
Find Your Vitality and Motivation
An Aries moon fires us up and gets us motivated. We don’t need to seek the approval of others, we are inspired to ignite our own creativity and passion. If you have been getting the message to start a sport, yoga, run, sign up for a competition, this is the time to just go for it. Aries thrives on a challenge, so go beyond your comfort zone and do something out of character, that will catapult you out of any rut you have found yourself in after the long winter months.
Acknowledge your Achievements
Life seems to be going so fast that we often don’t find the time to acknowledge our achievements. During this Aries moon find some time to acknowledge and honour your achievements and look back to see how far you have come. Recognise the path you have walked that has led you to this place now; the highs, the lows, the set backs, the successes, the failures, the magical moments.
Feel love and gratitude to all those people who you have met on the way who have helped, supported and shared the journey with you. When we acknowledge how much we have grown and expanded, and the people in our lives that make it special, we generate generosity which increases our inner feelings of peace and contentment.
Life is always in a constant flux of change and flow and this year we are going to see greater change in all ways. The key to accepting change is to embrace it without fighting or struggling. Some things are simply out of our control, so rather than stress or feel conflicted, surrender to life as it is, and not as you would like it to be. When we embrace change we automatically find an inner peace and with a calmer perspective see new opportunities opening up that we weren’t able to see before.
Be Receptive to Nature’s Pace
Just like nature many of us are in a pregnant pause, as nature prepares to fully awaken to the coming summer in all her glory. The message here is don’t be hasty, especially as Aries is the youngest of the Zodiac signs and the most impatient. Make sure you have all the pieces together and there is a natural, organic growth and expansion happening. If you exert too much energy, or try and force things to happen, the consequences will not be favourable.
This also extends to people you are in partnership with. Under this moon it is easier to feel frustrated, annoyed and irritated by those who are taking a more tortoise-like approach to a situation/deal. Rather than become domineering and exert excessive use of pressure, find some Libra balance and openly communicate and cooperate so that you can come to a harmonious agreement.
I will end this Lunascope with the wise words from Ralph Waldo Emerson:
“Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.”
