Aquarius new moon on Monday 8th Feb is one of the rare signs depicted by a human rather than a symbol or animal. It’s symbol is a woman, kneeling in service and pouring water onto the earth suggesting that all our work should be in service to humanity and the planet.
It also reminds us that water is our source of life and when it is pure and clean it nourishes the most parched seeds. When our actions are made with good and pure intent Nature assists in the growth.
Ruled by Uranus, the planet of creativity and inventive genius, the Aquarius moon ignites our rebellious spirit, inspires us to think outside the box and to honour our independence, while prompting us to serve the environment and each other.
This is one of the most creative and inspiring moons and here are my top 7 tips to surfing it successfully:
Tend your Seeds
This is the time to water and nurture your metaphorical seeds. Just as in nature, new projects need a good boost of energy to burst out of the hard shell/ground to grow in the light. Be open to the opportunities that are available to you now. If you know what you want but unsure how to get it imagine yourself with the desired outcome. Feel the joyful sensation of the desired outcome flowing around your body, as though its already been manifested. Life is full of infinite possibilities so if your short-sighted rational mind can’t work it out leave it to the power of nature.
Trust the Flow
Most of the time the reason why we can’t seem to manifest our dreams is because we are getting in our own way. Our expectations, desires, stubbornness and impatience can lead us to making hasty decisions, missing crucial opportunities, or being so plagued by doubt and negativity we don’t trust. If the flow is sticky, trust it. Sometimes we just don’t have all the pieces in place to make the next step. When we trust the flow we see how everything is happening perfectly.
Over this moon start using your intuition, your inner voice as your guide. Our intuition is a feeling, an inner knowing that something is right or not. If everything ‘looks’ good but something doesn’t feel quite right, it’s because it probably isn’t. Many of us ignore this ínstinct’ because we are blinded by our ego, despite what our hearts are telling us. It takes an innate trust in ourselves to start using this inner guidance system, and the stronger and more powerful we become.
Share your Ideas
Aquarius often gets mistaken for being a water sign but in fact its an air sign, which is a good moon for sharing our ideas and visions with others. If you have been making room in your life for new people to come in this is the moon to meet them. Go to that meetup, talk or workshop. We are all looking for like-minded people but you have to go to the places where they will be.
Being receptive means surrendering to reality as it is and not as we would like it to be. Sometimes life just does not go the way we want. Rather than get depressed, disheartened, or angry, see what blessings are happening instead. When we stop focusing on what isn’t working we can start seeing what is, and usually things work out even better.
Think Outside the Box
Influenced by Uranus, Aquarius ignites the rebel within, so if you are seeing injustices everywhere and are getting a kick from within, blame is on this moon. Let Aquarius inspire you to be the change you want to see. We are in a unique time in history where each one of us can make a significant difference. Find the area that sparks your passion and let the creativity and ingenuity of this moon illuminate the path.
Embrace your Uniqueness
I love the Aquarius new moon because it reminds me that is ok to be different. In fact Aquarius insists we embrace our uniqueness and that of our fellow humans. When we love and respect who we are just as we are, we are a lot happier and more content. However, once we accept ourselves its much harder to live life that is not in alignment with our values and this moon could very well make the differences impossible to ignore.
I will end this Lunascope with the wise words from Osho:
“Nobody is superior, nobody is inferior, but nobody is equal either. People are simply unique, incomparable. You are you, I am I. I have to contribute my potential to life; you have to contribute your potential to life. I have to discover my own being; you have to discover your own being. Drop the idea of becoming someone, because you are already a masterpiece. You cannot be improved. You have only to come to it, to know it, to realize it.”.
